I think I have a thing for the left-handed (and maybe the ambidextrous).
Think Bruce Willis, Gordan Ramsey, Ben Stiller, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Wahlberg, and I didn't even work the Google yet (all awesome people, if you did use Google or any other search engine, please exclude JB- because he's a young Baby, Baby, Baby, Oh!).
Doing work/writing and eating at the same time: left hand, right hand. I always imagined ambidextrous people writing with both hands and finishing homework in less time it takes to "boil handphone porridge" -talking forever on the phone- with a bestie or getting rid of an annoying caller who curses at you if you don't buy their products/give away your bank account number/etc.
Recently picked up a book, "Crazy Rich Asians" by Kevin Kwan.
It's really Asian-guai lou posh and has a lot of funny, snort-worthy moments, whilst learning the basics on the various Chinese dialects (and curses), with helpful footnotes.
On a personal note, I think I will give it one month, as everyone knows that the first few days is the so-called "induction/settling-in" period.
Not sure how it will turn out but I hope that I won't come to resent it. Almost falling asleep at your desk on the first day is not the way to start. Thankfully that didn't happen today, and thankfully, I was the one who took the first step. It's not to say that I'm not learning. I'm squeezing every opportunity I can get whether it's given or taken but looks as if I'm going to have to keep making the moves first.

super sweet cupcakes during x'mas. it was super packed with sugar and tasted like cookie batter.
I was thinking really violent thoughts for two days nearing the end of april and both of them a week or so before my exam.
violent thoughts no. 1: this seemingly nice guy approached me in the library. i was trying to finish my presentation board there. he asked to borrow a pen. so the good side in me said why not? and i lent it to him. the next minute i'm done doing one of my presentation drawings, the guy had crossed his leg with a magazine in hand. where's my pen? no where in his possession. what the... i thought i lent it to him? so i walked up to him and ask him for it. he had the audacity to tell me that he lent it to someone else. a part of me wanted to spew violent threats right there and then. but i told him that i lent it TO him and not anyone else and now since he did that, i wanted it back. he DARED to ask me if i had ANOTHER pen, and before i could castrate him on the spot, he told me to wait there. and he went and got my pen back. if it was only a pen and you wanted to impress this 'so called' biatch of a girl, then go and buy one yourself so that you can lend it to her instead of borrowing someone else's pen. who in the world gave you the right to do that? who the shit do you think you are? i dont care or give a rats ass if you think you are the world's greatest man but to me, by just doing that, you are on my 'world's biggest a-hole' list.
advice to self: NEVER EVER lend things to anyone else EVER again, especially if you dont know them. cuz even my own classmates will borrow my masking tape to put up their presentation boards, FINISH using the whole bloody thing, and just leave me fuming as to who used the last bit. f*cking pisses me off. (that's as close to a foul word as you're going to get). dont be nice. be nasty sometimes. that way, people wont take advantage of you and take you for granted.
violent thoughts no. 2: the day of handing in our assignment. i asked one of my friends whether we needed to bring our models. he said no. i smsed my lecturer, he didnt answer. so i didnt bring the model. turns out, my friend posted it on his 'wall' in FACEBOOK saying oh please bring your models. shit, i only found out when i got there at 9.30am. the handing in was till 12noon. fantastic isnt it? i DONT have FACEBOOK! this friend of mine told me that he did sms me saying the lecturer told him at 9-ish pm the day before. dunno whether he wanted to 'sabo' me or not but whatever cuz i didnt receive his sms. i took the bus,lrt and taxi home. showered. and took the taxi all the way to uni. was super pissed off but it already happened and i managed to make it back before noon.
advice to self: NEVER EVER put yourself in a situation like that again. if the darn lecturer doesnt reply my sms, call his stupid phone. and another thing that pissed me off was that I was the class rep, and my friend was the assistant. my lecturer informed my assistant instead of me. brilliant isnt it? you can NEVER really trust anyone in any industry cuz these people are out there to get you/sabotage your work.
ugh. a blessing i managed to survive this onslaught. 1 month's break and the process starts all over again. i love what i am doing but sometimes, things like this, you need to take with a handful of salt and learn from it.
my first assignment. 'the tower'.
2nd assignment, the 'sacred geometry'.
3rd and last for the semester, a 'pavilion' in KLCC park.

WhooHOOO!!!! (i'm busy reading other peeps blogs than updating my own...)
The first and only time I get to wear uber-cool goggles in the dark for 3 hours!!! (too bad you can't take it home... It would have said GSC on the side...)

Yeah, man.. I'm blogging after SUCH a long time. Have been working so didn't have time to blog cuz by the time I'm back, my eyes feel like they're gonna pop out after staring at the computer screen.
So, today, went out with my cousin sis's and bro to Pavi... MUAHAHAH... We ate at TGI Friday's (unfortunately, it's Monday). Sinful, sinful meals. Full of cheese (and alchohol XD, my cousin sister's chicken, she's 16 next yr btw), and last but not least, our wonderful dessert which was shared between the four of us. Brownie, chocolate, caramel, nuts and ice-scream (oops...). Totally fattening and deli-sias. I'm salivating writing this. Man, gotta learn how to make it.
And the movie we watched (no outing is perfect without a movie) is Avatar... IN 3D!!!! My 1st time watching a 3D movie, I was sooo excited. I kept asking my brother (who has watched a 3D movie before) when to put on the glasses. He was like "They'll tell you when ok.. Shhh..."
The graphics were awe-striking-some, except that it was a bit blurry due to some disgusting previous wearer's grubby fingerprints on the lens of the goggles... (I didn't want to wipe them cuz I would'a missed a minute of absolute CGI coolness!!!)

OMG... People, YOU SHOULD watch it in 3D!
I think the graphics in the normal movie would be just as good.
We were about to do a movie marathon with Avatar and Sherlock Holmes but oh well, the time clashed. Besides, it was a 3 hour movie. But totally worth it. The main character (now I know who he is, from Terminator Salvation) is sooo cool.
Leaving you with pictures (not today of course... of FOOD and others!!! from the past)
Red bean chewy sesame seed ball! (that's flattened)
Scones anyone? Yummy butter and mango spread!
My brother's fingers, the most delicious salad of mushrooms, greens, and pumpkin with mash potatoes as carbs (there were supposed to be pecan nuts in the salad, but I burnt them in the oven. However, they tasted like popcorn!! :-)
X'mas treats! (I've eaten the peppermint and Snickers, candy cane, candy cane.. ooh, Charlie and ze Chocolat' Factory...)
My X'mas HD baby!!!

The internet is working at this hour... on my laptop... So, I'm trying to update the programs on it which was last updated a few months ago. My bro's laptop battery fried. Now, he's got a new one. And both his battery and mine makes this buzzing sound. Hmm...
Watched Transformers (the first one, totally AWESOME graphics and animation) and Mr Bean's Holiday (darn funny). Before this watched Rock N Rolla (a must watch, funny and amusing), Pink Panther 2 (eyeball rolling and tongue in cheek) and omg, I managed to upload pics!!! Now to publish it before the internet dies again.
WASABI with french toast anyone?
Ken Vin's cheese cake... Pretty good I'd say... Except for the crumbly bottom... Haha.. Imagine, I put food over work first as that's my assignment paper underneath the plate...
My bro's b'day cupcakes... So cute and peanut-buttery.
Bamboo charcoal bread... First time I've even heard of such a thing. Nice with butter. Yum... Chomp chomp...
And last but not least a really pretty mooncake rectangular box given by my aunt. Especially likes the red paper art.

Ah, did I mention I'm doing internship at an archi firm? (Hmm.. Repeating myself...) The same one as last year no doubt but I'm fine with that. My damn chatbox doesn't come out and my darn laptop would not allow me to connect online except at 3 am. It seems as if it was meant to be used in the university where no one (or a few students) use the internet at that hour.
A bloody mosquito is buzzing around my head.
Should 'prolly be sleeping now but...
Gerard Butler is soooo TOTALLY sizzling in Gamer (don't ask but I watched it on its premier day...), but beware of boob flashers. Really full of them, girls flashing to girls, to guys, twins... -.-" But who the heck cares when there's this uber muscle man... Muahaha.
And I had an epic battle with a cockroach at 6.30am in the bathroom when the lights flickered on, which resulted in a very one sided result whereby I had an advantageous weapon of choice: the newspaper, and the pest only had the "disgust and scare" tactic;
and an almost epic scare with a lizard beside the kitchen sink, also when the lights flickered on and the lizard scampered in my direction, at 11.45pm...

Chocolate chip and hazelnut cookies!
Don't worry, I didn't blog yesterday not because I landed up in a "nee-na" but because I didn't have the camera to take pics of my 1st baking attempt. "How is it? Were the cookies burnt?", you might ask. Well, it was supposed to look like this: (the one in the middle)

but it turned out like this:

The verdict of two unfortunate guinea pigs:
1) Good (reaches into the jar for another cookie),
2) Tastes good. Why you go and blend the nuts??
I substituted brown sugar with milo XD
And the recipe was supposed to make 35 cookies but I made.... 46 COOKIES!!! muahahah...
Genius Genius!
The outcome of karaoke-ing: The song Womanizer and I Kissed a Girl is STUCK in my head... Sh*t... :PpPp

CHOCOLATE PARADISE!!!!!
The title says it all. On Thursday, I was sick and tired of adding more layers to my behind by sitting down and watching the tellie after dinner. So, I decided to... BAKE!!! (Technically, it's not really baking as there's no oven involved) YEAH! My first time though. All the blood, sweat and tears egg yolk, icing sugar and milo. Haha. Those aren't the original ingredients. They were supposed to be egg yolk, castor sugar, cocoa powder and marsala (fortified sweet wine) so I had to 'make do'. The result:

MAN!!! It was made for females with pms's!!! LOL XD It tasted so darn sweet and good. So when my brother came back yesterday, I decided to tone down on the milo. It looked like this:

And my brother said that it had a unique taste. Then, he gobbled downa packet half a packet of salty snacks. My brother. The chocolate king. Said it tasted unique. Then, he asked me to use the original ingredients!!! Haha... He thought it was too sweet. But I thought it was just delicious as I had added cinnamon in mine.
It was supposed to look like this in the recipe. The "Chocolate Zabaglione" (pronounced 'zabayone')

But I'm never ever going to believe what I see in recipe books. You know why? The finished products are sometimes not the real ingredients. For example: The dark chocolate-y sauce on perhaps an ice-cream might actually be engine oil. (I read this in the newspapers) So, I'm seriously not kidding!
But who says anyone could get a recipe right the first time? Or the second? Especially with substituted ingredients? And I used a fork instead of a mixer. Cuz the bowl was small and I'm making small portions. If I had used a mixer, it would have splattered all over the kitchen walls and we'd have nothing left in the bowl. See?
Like a bulb of garlic.
