total bug count for this week since last sunday:

11 mosquitoes... *smack*... make that 12... *smack*... 13
there's another one flying about as we speak and oh boy do i sooooo wanna whack that little bugger!!!

1 cockroach

ok, i know i did say that i didn't want to donate blood during ns and i guess those damn mosquitoes decided to help the hospital instead.

i'm starting to think that donating blood to the hospital is better than donating blood to mosquitoes.
why?

1. only one red mark for donating to hospital.
many, for donating to mosquitoes.
2. not itchy, donating to hospital.
itchy like heck, for donating to mosquitoes.

please go/fly some place else!!!

i've finally watched 27 dresses. (don't ask me how i managed to watch it as i didn't go to the cinema or buy/borrow any dvd). the movie was quite good i must say cuz if it weren't, it wouldn't have evoked tears, 3 times from a sentimental me. at first, i thought that the guy (james marsden, i think) was so darn irritating and i could have smacked him there and then if it weren't for the screen saving his butt, but in the end, it was like 'irritating-idiot-turn-charming-sweet-guy' thing.

however, the first time (and for the rest of the movie) i saw him, i saw tom welling (smallville right??)... ewwww...

not that he's ugly, but he has this baby face which i have no idea why doesn't attract me at all.

sorry james, but i guess you have a look-alike rival now. maybe i'm wrong.

katherine heigl had sometimes - in the movie - looked like mag, my good ol' buddy... lol... tom welling look-alike and maggie together... weird, but i've a feeling jia min will kill me for this... you're married to tom right jm?? ah, but this is james NOT tom and that's katherine NOT mag... maybe i should try and think it's jia min instead... XD

i watched it the 2nd time this week and he still looks like tom welling. must be something wrong with my eyes.

a hopeful girl's dream...

no, not tom welling, but getting married to a really really... well, you know what i mean. must be all these hormones...

and i also saw this student exchange program of hokuryo-sri garden on tv. (trust me to wake up early just to watch cartoons...)

as i was about to post an email story, i got slapped in the cheek by pork fat!!! the stuff on the hob just went pop and it hit me. in the cheek!!! bloody heck!!! i'm gonna sue the people who invented pork lard!!! then it hit me that i actually love pork, so you guys are forgiven.

now the story:

Good or Bad, hard to say!

Once upon a time, there was a king. The king liked one of his followers very much because he was very wise and always gave very useful advice. Therefore, the king took him along wherever he went.

One day, the king was bitten by a dog, the finger was injured and the wound was getting worse. He asked the follower if that was a bad sign. The follower said, 'Good or bad, hard to say'. In the end, the finger of the king was so bad that had to be cut. The king asked the follower again if that was a bad sign. Again, the follower gave the same answer, 'Good or bad, hard to say'. The king became very angry and sent the follower to prison.

One day, the king went hunting in the jungle. He got excited when he was chasing a deer. Deeper and deeper he went into the jungle. In the end, he was lost in the jungle. To make things worse, he got captured by the native people who lived inside the jungle.

They wanted to sacrifice him to their god. But when they noticed that the king had one finger short, they released him immediately as he was not a perfect man anymore and not suitable for sacrifice. The king managed to get back to his palace after all. And he finally understood the follower's wise quote, 'Good or bad, hard to say'. If he hadn't lost one finger, he could have been killed by the native people.

He ordered to release the follower, and apologized to him. But to the king's amazement, the follower was not mad at him at all. Instead, the follower said, 'It wasn't a bad thing that you locked me up.' Why? Because if the king hadn't locked the follower up, he would have brought the follower along to the jungle. If the native found that the king was not suitable, they would have used the follower. Again, the quote 'Good or bad, hard to say' stands.

The moral of the story:
Everything that happens in this world, there is no absolute good or bad. Sometimes good things turned out to be bad things eventually, while bad things become a gain.

Whatever good things that happen to you, enjoy it, but don't have to hold too tight to it, treat it as a surprise in your life. Whatever bad things that happen to you, don't have to feel too sad or despair, in the end, it might not be a total bad thing after all.

If one can understand this, he or she will find life much easier.
